The World

Upright

completion · wholeness · accomplishment · integration

Reversed

incompletion · shortcuts · lack of closure · stagnation

Upright Meaning

✶ General

The circle closes. The World is the final card of the Major Arcana: completion, wholeness, and the deep satisfaction of a cycle fully lived. You've been through everything, the innocence of the Fool, the trials, the death, the rebirth, and you're standing here, whole. This is not the end; it's the integration that prepares you for the next beginning.

♥ Love & Relationships

A relationship reaching a beautiful milestone, a deep sense of belonging with a partner, or the inner completeness that attracts genuine love. You're not looking for someone to complete you because you already are.

⚔️ Career & Work

A major accomplishment. A project finishes, a goal is achieved, or a long professional journey reaches its natural conclusion. Take time to celebrate before rushing into the next thing.

☽ Spiritual Growth

Cosmic consciousness, the feeling of being connected to everything. The boundaries between self and world dissolve, not in confusion but in clarity. You understand your place in the larger pattern. Completion of a major spiritual cycle.

Reversed Meaning

✶ General

Almost there, but not quite. The reversed World card is the frustration of incompletion: the last 10% that won't come together, the closure that's missing, the cycle that needs one more revolution before it can truly end. Don't take shortcuts now. The final steps matter more than any that came before.

♥ Love & Relationships

A relationship that feels almost complete but is missing something essential. Unfinished emotional business is preventing the deep connection you both want. Address what's been left unsaid.

⚔️ Career & Work

A project dragging on past its deadline, or the feeling that something in your career is perpetually unfinished. You're close to completion but some piece is missing. Look at what you've been avoiding.

☽ Spiritual Growth

The spiritual journey feels incomplete. You've come far but there's a nagging sense that a crucial integration hasn't happened. Something still needs to be faced, accepted, or released before the cycle can close.

Yes or No

Yes

Completion and success are indicated. The World says the cycle is closing in your favor. What you have worked toward is arriving or has already arrived.

Strong yes for achievement, travel, and finishing what you started. If your question is about starting something entirely new, The World says finish this first.

Symbolism

A dancing figure floats within a great laurel wreath, holding two wands. The four creatures from the Wheel of Fortune return in the corners, now fully realized. The wreath is an oval zero, the Fool's number, suggesting that every ending contains a new beginning. The dancer is both male and female, fully integrated, clothed only in a flowing scarf that conceals nothing.
