Name-day feast of Adar (Atar), the yazata of fire. All fires are sacred in Zoroastrianism, from the household hearth to the Atash Behram (highest grade temple fire). On this day, fires are not allowed to be extinguished, and Zoroastrians tend their household flames with special prayers.
