The reconstructed feast of Mokosh, the great Slavic earth mother goddess of fertility, weaving, and women’s fate. In Christianized tradition, her attributes were absorbed by St. Paraskeva (Petka, October 28), patron of women and spinning. Mokosh was the only female deity in the Kievan pantheon.
