The second occurrence of the sacred month of Rajab within the Gregorian year 2026, this time for the year 1448 AH. As before, Rajab opens the ’three months of light’ leading to Ramadan. Sufi orders use this month to begin the cycle of intensive preparation again, with fasting on the 1st, 15th, and 27th particularly recommended. The Khalwatiyya order takes its name from the practice of spiritual retreat (khalwa) that intensifies during this sacred period.
