Publication of the Fama Fraternitatis (1614)

The Fama Fraternitatis Rosae Crucis, the founding document of Rosicrucianism, was published anonymously in Kassel in 1614. It told of Christian Rosenkreutz, who traveled to the East and founded a secret brotherhood dedicated to healing and universal knowledge. The vault of CRC was discovered 120 years after his death, his body perfectly preserved. The manifesto ignited a continent-wide esoteric movement.
