Month-long cycle of Osiris rituals during IV Akhet (Khoiak). Priests created a gold effigy of Osiris filled with sand and grain, watered it daily, then floated it on the Nile for three days. The sprouting grain symbolized Osiris’s resurrection and the renewal of vegetation. Major rites took place at Abydos, Busiris, and the Osiris chapels at Dendera.
