Changó (Shango), the orisha of thunder, lightning, fire, and drumming, is syncretized with Santa Barbara in Cuban Santería. His colors are red and white. Offerings include apples, bananas, and red roosters. His double-headed axe (oshé) represents the lightning bolt. The batá drums sacred to Changó can only be played by initiated drummers (olú batá). December 4 is the largest Santería celebration in Cuba.
